CCS Musicam Prima LT Plus Audio Codec.
CCS Musicam Prima LT Plus Audio Codec
The Prima LT Plus is the high end partner of the Prima LT offering all of the vast range of features of the Prima LT with some additional features :
- Large size VU meters
- Intelligent headphone monitoring
- Space for up to 3 ISDN or other interfaces (6 x B channels, 384kbps over ISDN)
- SMPTE Time Code transmission and reception
- Up to eight relay functions
- Two Ancillary Data channels
The Prima LT Plus offers the same superb audio specifications as the CDQPrima™ line of codecs. With MUSICAM®-enhanced MPEG Layer 2, MPEG Layer 3, and G.722 algorithms for compatibility with all other mpeg compatible codecs. The Prima LT Plus provides ISDN connectivity at bit rates ranging from 56 to 384 kb/s with bit rates from 24 to 384 kb/s supported with other digital transmission facilities such as X21.
The Prima LT Plus is a 2U rack mount (with removal rack ears) which has a large, backlit LCD display with adjustable contrast. There are 4 large peak-and-average-reading VU meters displaying stereo input and output levels, together with 6 LED "Connect Status" lamps to keep you informed about the lines in use. There is a large keypad for entering numbers with single-button status keys and a keypad beeper. 6 status indicators show the connect state, framed state, bit errors and headphone mode and there are two user-programmable function keys. Additionally, an intelligent headphone monitor system lets you listen to any combination of send audio, receive audio, in mono or stereo an there are front panel headphone volume adjustment controls.
The Prima LT offers ISDN connectivity at bit rates ranging from 56 to 384 kb/s and bit rates of 24 to 384 kb/s are supported with V.35, X.21, RS530 or RS422 using sampling rates from 16 to 48 kHz. CCS Inverse Multiplexing and H.221 BONDING protocols are standard and the Prima LT is fully Eureka DAB compatible. Additionally, the microprocessor-controlled Prima LT is equipped with powerful programming functions using the Prima Logic Language which provides event-to-action logic. You can program your Prima LT, for example, to perform functions such as automatic call configuration and automatic algorithm detection. All functions can be password protected with a multi-level security system and there are programmable remote outputs.
The Prima LT has 3 slots supporting interchangeable plug-in network interface modules allowing you to connect directly to an ISDN line or to any digital transmission system with available V.35, X.21, RS530 or RS422 interfaces. The Prima LT Plus’s Independent Mono mode allows you to send two independent mono audio programs to any combination of six locations.
There are two ancillary data channels including far end remote control, RS232 data and 12 virtual control lines. Virtual actions can execute a sequence of commands on any connected Prima LT, Prima LT Plus or CDQPrima. There is near and far-end remote control using an attached terminal or PC with RS232 or RS485 support. RS485 remote control allows up to 30 Prima LT or CDQPrima units to be controlled by the same PC. Additionally, there is a programmable summary alarm relay.
Bi-directional SMPTE Time Code is available with the optional Prima A2100 internal module and up to 8 opto-isolated control inputs and 8 dry, floating relay outputs can be added to the unit for remote command and control (options Prima A1100 and Prima A1200).
Using a simple, intuitive menu navigation system, you can configure "One Touch" auto dialing on the 2 function keys. An internal phonebook has storage for 256 Speed Dial and Quick Configuration entries. Each Speed Dial entry contains all encoder and decoder configuration information and up to two ISDN phone numbers. The Prima LT comes pre-programmed with over three dozen of the most useful configurations, including configurations used to connect to other manufacturers products. Additionally, there is storage for up to 20 ISDN TA configurations, each including all TA settings, SPID and ID numbers.
Gold plated analogue audio connectors and 24 bit A/D and D/A converters ensure superb audio specifications - 20 to 20 kHz bandwidth with better than 95 dB signal-to-noise ratio and 0.01% THD+N. Digital AES/EBU, or S/PDIF audio inputs and outputs allow 32, 44.1 and 48 kHz digital audio sampling rates with internal or external synchronization and automatic rate adaption.
Software updates, available from the Musicam internet web site, can be downloaded directly into the Prima LT through the remote control port.
